Rules and Regulations
The event follows a team format, with candidates competing against one another. Each participant will represent either the Government(proposition) or the Opposition and present their views on the assigned topic. Debate topics will be assigned by the judges prior to the event or announced on the spot. Participants must maintain the decorum expected in a formal presidential debate setting. Candidates will be judged on their speeches, argument strength, clarity, rebuttals, and overall presentation. Points of Information are encouraged, but participants must engage respectfully without interruptions unless permitted. Use of vulgar language, personal attacks, or offensive remarks will lead to immediate disqualification. The judges’ decision is final and binding. Registration is on a First Come, First Serve basis. Time limits will be strictly enforced for the speeches, with signals indicating end of protected time and remaining time.Event Incharge
